Duston – 5 miles away: Street parking only. Florists, bakery, shoe repairs/key cutting. Co-op store.

Limehurst Square: Library, butcher, Lidl, Tesco express, pet shop, charity shop, take-aways.

Harlestone – 5 miles away: Harlestone Heath Garden Centre – Free parking. Cafe, pet shop, fashion, stationery shop, card shop plus all gardening centre products. Small Waitrose.

Long Buckby – 5 miles away: Free car parking. Co-op, Costcutter, jewellers, pharmacy, hair dressers. Post office, butchers, farm shop, gift shops, estate agent, train station (London to Birmingham).

Sixfields – 6 miles away: Free car parking. Sainsbury’s including Argos and petrol station, Lidl, Aldi, Boots, Mamas & Papas, Holiday Hypermarket, Next, multi-plex cinema. Cobblers’ stadium, ten-pin bowling, recyling centre, variety of restaurants and takeaways; Just down the road – Matalan, Hobbycraft and the Saints’ rugby stadium

Whilton Locks – 6 miles away: Free car parking. Garden Centre & Pet shop, carpet shop. Farm shop.

Daventry – 7 miles away: Free car parking. Waitrose, Tesco and a wide selection of various fashion retail and gift shops, hairdressers. Post office, banks and building societies. Multiplex Cinema. Market every Tuesdays and Fridays.

Wl market: Tues 8.45-11am, United Reform Church, selling homemade foods, crafts, plants etc.

Northampton Town Centre – 8 miles away: Paid car parking. 2 shopping malls (Grosvenor and Market Walk); pedestrianised zones (Abington Street), good selection of High Street names and speciality shops, solicitors and accountants, all major banks and building societies, library, estate agents.

Theatres: The Royal, The Derngate, and the Northampton Filmhouse (theatre-style cinema showing a range of films and “first night” West End productions.

Bicester Village, Oxfordshire – 38 miles away: Designer outlet shopping centre with approximately 130 stores, offering a wide range of luxury product categories at outlet store prices; and a variety of cafes and restaurants.

Milton Keynes – 25 miles away: Paid car parking. J14 of the Ml or A5 via Towcester. Over 240 stores, restaurants and cafes in the mall (John Lewis, M&S, House of Fraser etc), SnowDome, multi-plex cinema, theatre.

This is the Parish Church for the Bringtons and Nobottle which forms part of a Benefice of 6 Parishes, the other 5 being:

St. Andrew’s: Harlestone
St. Mary the Virgin: East Haddon with Holdenby
St. Botolph’s: Church Brampton
St. Andrew’s: Whilton
All Saints: Norton

Details of Services are provided in the Church porch and are also given on email on a weekly basis. The Church is normally open very day from around 9am. till dusk.

Bringtons & Nobottle News is published the first weekend of February, April, June, August, October and December.

History of the Parish

The Parish covers an area of some 3,000 acres and contains two villages, Great and Little Brington, and the hamlet of Nobottle.
