Dear Residents of the Bringtons,
Brington Parish Council is increasingly concerned about the condition of the roads in and around the Bringtons, particularly following the extended road closure and the additional traffic being diverted through local routes.
Many residents have reported damage to vehicles caused by potholes and deteriorating road surfaces. In response, the Parish Council is seeking to arrange a meeting with West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) to discuss:
- The impact of the prolonged road closure
- The worsening condition of local roads
- The effect on residents, businesses, and road safety
- The need for urgent repairs and long-term maintenance
To support our discussions with WNC, we are asking residents to complete a short survey detailing any damage or issues experienced as a result of potholes and poor road conditions. Real evidence from residents will help demonstrate the scale of the problem and strengthen the Council’s case for action. You can email me if you have any pictures of any damage done to your vehicle.
Please complete the survey on https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M2XMM68
Residents are also encouraged to report potholes directly to West Northamptonshire Council. Reports can usually be made online via the WNC highways reporting system. When reporting, it is helpful to provide:
- The exact location of the pothole
- Photographs where possible
- Details of the size or severity
- Information about any immediate safety concerns

The more reports submitted, the greater the visibility of the issue with the highways team.
Thank you for taking the time to support this effort. The Parish Council will continue to press for improvements and keep residents informed of progress following discussions with WNC.
Kind regards,
Rachael Ball
